Does 'Baby-Brain' ever truly go away?

Pregnancy really changes you; your body as well as your mind. Not only does your pregnancy end with a beautiful baby, but with visible scars and with undetectable and occasional 'brain farts'.
There's really nothing you can do about it, and after almost eight years since having my baby, I still suffer from baby-brain. It makes me wonder if it will ever go away, or if it will just transition into old-age brain, which has similar symptoms.
What is it?
Forgetfulness!
·         Doing a task but not the one you intended to do
·         You know you have something that weekend but you just can't put your finger on it
·         Writing a list of groceries to buy at the store but forgetting the list at home
and everything else related to forgetfulness.
Baby-brain is incurable; however, there are damage control step you can take. I have tried the following and have received somewhat good results from it.
1.       Get a calendar or agenda
2.       Use it
3.       Events, meetings, or lunch dates must be written down immediately in your agenda, not when you feel like getting off your couch to fetch the darn thing
4.       Leave a pen and paper at your bedside table in case something comes to mind when you've just settled in and don't want to get out of your nook.
5.       Do things when they come up, otherwise... you guessed it! You'll forget.
This is not brought you to you by Health Canada or any other mental health associated organization. This is, in my opinion, something that all women with children have and continue to have, it cannot be prevented. We have to adapt and overcome ladies.
If you have any other tips or tricks, please, help a mother out!
