JDRF Walk to find a cure

http://jdrfca.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.participant&participantID=137643

I woke up to clouds and rain, yet again mother nature has decided to put a strain on my day off. I made a commitment to walk with the Fontaine's for their son Mac, who has juvenile diabetes. This annual event takes place at the Assiniboine Park, Mac and his family look forward to it every year.
Regardless of the weather, we - my son and I - laced up our sneakers and headed to the park to take part in the walk.
When we arrived, it was nothing like we had imagined. Tents were set up, bouncers for the kids, and musical entertainment. It was quite the event. The 5KM walk ended with lunch supplied by Granny's Poultry and a demo by the Bae's Martial Arts kids.

The foundation raised over $200,000 this year. Supporting a wonderful little boy by walking with his family and friends was priceless - the kids had fun and understood the importance of walking for a cure for juvenile diabetes.
