Thinking Success

Success principles are success principles, no mater what industry you are in.

The public relations field requires you to stay up to date on, not only things that are happening locally but new and upcoming trends. Last year's courses are now being replaced by new classes that are more current and up to date on the trends in the industry.

Education is not only in class, it's all around. We have access to it at the tip of our fingers. Get involved in associations such as the International Association of Business Communicators and Canadian Public Relations Society, they host networking events and educational seminars. Keep your membership active and save on the registration costs - which is much less than a class at University of College.
You can also challenge yourself personally which will help you professionally.

There are a substantial amount of books to read and seminars to attend. Start your own home library with books that will never be outdated. I have compiled a short list of books that has changed my thinking about how to create success in my life.
1. Change your thinking, Change your life by Brian Tracy

2. The Compassionate Samurai by Brian Klemmer
3. 8 Attributes of Great Achievers  by Cameron C. Taylor

4. The ant and the Elephant by Vince Poscente
5. The Go-Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann

If you want to be a success, you have to start thinking yourself as a success. These words are ingrained into my brain, I live and breathe them every day. You can too. Start by thinking positive thoughts and discard any negative thoughts, they're not doing you any good.
Work hard, be true to yourself, and think positively. It's a simple formula, but it's a good place to start. Success is not going to fall into your lap, it takes work and dedication but you will get there.

Comment below if you have any other success tips that I may have missed.
